Welcome to the Crieff Community Tool Library!

We are a community resource based at Remake in Crieff providing members with access to a LIBRARY OF THINGS including tools for DIY, gardening equipment, craft stuff, play items, decorating aids, guitars, even pop-up marquees for the party after all the hard work.  The majority of our inventory has been generously supported by the National Lottery Supporting Communities Fund and NHS Community Innovation Fund with many donations given generously by other members and individuals from the local community.

How Does The Tool Library Work?

Just like a library for books, at Crieff Community Tool Library, you can borrow items for a week and then bring them back for someone else to use. To borrow items you must be a member (membership is free) and agree to our Lending Policy and Terms. These guidelines keep everyone safe and protect the future of the tool library.

Members can borrow up to five items at any one time. You can browse the items available by clicking on the “inventory” button above. We are always adding items to our inventory, so please check frequently to see updates.  It is free to borrow items once you have become a member; there are some exceptions for items that will wear out quickly so need to be repaired/replaced, these charges are highlighted in the item‘s listing on the inventory. Large marquees/gazebos are £50 to hire, plus a £50 refundable deposit to cover damage (charitable/community events may be exempt from this charge, please contact us to discuss - criefftoollibrary@gmail.com or 01764 655733).

Reserving Items

Reserve items online via your Crieff Community Tool Library account (which is facilitated by MyTurn app).Simply login, browse inventory, choose items and select collection date. It will automatically be reserved for a week.

Collect

Come along on your collection date, your item will be waiting for you. Every time you collect an item you will need to provide photo ID.

Return

Bring your items back a week later, clean and in working order, ready to be borrowed again. If you need a bit more time you can extend your reservation (do this one day before your return date), providing it has not been reserved by someone else.
